Expiry Vault privacy policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
The short version. Your documents are stored only on your phone. There’s no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. We never see what you store in Expiry Vault. The only information that leaves your phone is what’s needed to process an in-app purchase, if you make one.
Who we are
Expiry Vault is made by Dharmik Pansuriya, an independent developer based in the United Kingdom, publishing as Vasukh Labs (“we”, “us”). For the purposes of data protection law, we are the controller of the small amount of personal information described below.

What stays on your phone
Everything you enter into Expiry Vault (document names, types, expiry dates, notes and your settings) is stored only on your device, in the app’s private storage. We don’t have servers that receive it, and we can’t see it.
- iPhone: if you have iCloud Backup or computer backups turned on, iOS may include the app’s data in your device backup, the same as for other apps. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by us.
- Android: Expiry Vault opts out of Android’s automatic cloud backup, so its data isn’t copied to your Google account.
Reminders
Reminders are scheduled by your phone’s own notification system. We don’t use a server to send them, and nothing about your documents is sent anywhere to make them work. You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone’s settings.
Backups (Pro)
If you have Pro, you can create a backup file. It’s created only when you ask, and it’s encrypted on your phone with a password you choose (AES-256-GCM, with a key derived from your password). You decide where to save or send it (for example Files, Google Drive or email). We never receive the file or your password, so we can’t recover a lost password. Any service you save the file to handles it under its own privacy policy, but it can’t read the contents without your password.
In-app purchases
Expiry Vault Pro is a one-time in-app purchase.
- Payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your card or payment details.
- To check purchases and unlock Pro, we use RevenueCat, Inc. RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous app user ID created when you install the app, details of your purchase and restore history, and technical information needed to verify it (such as app version, operating system, store country and IP address). This isn’t linked to your name, email or documents. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
When you contact us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply and help you. Our email is provided by Namecheap (Private Email). We keep support emails only as long as needed to deal with your request.
What we don’t do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics, crash-tracking or advertising tools.
- No location, contacts, camera or microphone access.
- We don’t sell or share your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Legal bases (UK and EU users)
| What | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase verification via RevenueCat | To provide Pro features you’ve paid for | Performance of a contract |
| Support emails | To answer you | Legitimate interests (helping you) |
How long we keep information
Data inside the app stays on your phone until you delete it or uninstall the app. Purchase records are kept by Apple or Google and RevenueCat for as long as needed to prove your purchase and meet legal or tax requirements.
International transfers
RevenueCat is based in the United States. Where information is transferred outside the UK or EEA, this relies on the safeguards described in RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to object to how it’s used. Because your documents never leave your phone, you control them directly: edit or delete them in the app, or uninstall it to remove everything. For anything else, including purchase records held by RevenueCat, email support@vasukh.co and we’ll help.
If you’re in the UK and unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Elsewhere, you can contact your local data protection authority.
Children
Expiry Vault isn’t aimed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If we change how Expiry Vault handles information, for example if a future feature such as document scanning needs camera access, we’ll update this page and the date at the top before the change reaches the app.
